completed her training at RMIT and Sydney College of the Arts.
Softly finished silver and fine layers of vibrant translucent
enamels are combined as a signature of her work. Enamel, a
form of glass has been used since ancient times. Made from
silica and metal oxides, the enamel is crushed in a mortar
and pestle to a fine powder, applied wet to the metal surface
and kiln fired. Patiently repeated layerings build depth and
strength of colour.
It’s
vital to me that my work should hold the elements of form and
function - to please the hand, the eye and the imagination. |
