Michael graduated from London Guildhall University and gained experience with a number of jewellers in London prior to guiding ‘Habit Joiers’ Barcelona, through the process of establishing their own jewellery workshop. The freedom given to Michael by Habit Joiers allowed him to develop his own distinct sculptural style. Since migrating to Australia in 2005 Michael has further worked to foster his own place in the contemporary jewellery community.

I ’m drawn to precious gemstones, and the layering and carving of metals. My work is driven by elements in the natural world and at this point in time I take particular influence from the life of and within the sea.
