An
ongoing interest in jewellery both past and present, especially
Etruscan, Egyptian and Indian inform my work. A passion for natural
forms, shapes, textures and colours in their rawest forms is also
a point of reference. The seashore, the edge the washed up detritus,
corals, pearls each piece unique, inspire my imagination to produce
a unification of form and function. The processes of nature, the
calcaneus’s accretions, the symbiosis of disparate elements
evolve into new forms.
I use a combination of materials and methods consisting of oxidizing,
casting and setting which create jewellery both organic and individual. |
