I affectionately call my new collection of jewellery “Ned Kelly”. The inspiration for this body of work began with Kelly’s armour and the way it is constructed. The rivets and hand made quality has always appealed to me.

Our nation’s seemingly endless fascination with the legend and how it has become ingrained in our culture inspires me further. As I continue working with those ideas to create wearable jewellery, the work takes on more personal significance for me. I enjoy the layering of the metal and using this as a metaphor for the multi layered facets of my life.

Each piece is hand cut, hammered, shaped and riveted, so no two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
